Why Dental Implants?

Next to natural, healthy teeth, dental implants are the best choice. Made of biocompatible materials, dental implants mimic your natural tooth - protecting healthy bone and maintaining your bite alignment. Just like natural teeth, you can brush and floss normally and eat all the foods you love. With proper care, dental implants offer an effective long-term solution for missing teeth.

Benefits to You

  • Protects your jaw from bone loss due to missing teeth
  • Keeps proper bite alignment
  • Easy to care for, similar to natural teeth
  • No food restrictions
  • Long-term solution

What Does the Dental Implant Process Look Like?

Precise Implant Placement

The dentist at Dr Paul Rashid DMD approach your dental implant placement and restoration with precision from start to finish. We first complete a 3-D cone beam CT image of your jaw and analyze it to determine if you are a good candidate for a dental implant. We then plan your treatment and design your case using CEREC computerized dentistry software, which allows us to virtually place your implant and ensure precise positioning. Using the collected data, we make a surgical guide, which is custom made to fit over your natural teeth and directs the placement of your new dental implant.

Custom Dental Implant Crowns

Esthetics are important for a seamless smile, and our focus is always to provide the best results for your unique case. We will discuss with you when we can replace your missing tooth with an implant-supported crown. After your new dental implant has time to integrate into the bone (usually two to six months, sometimes sooner), we can create your new dental implant crown.

We custom design each dental implant crown to match your existing teeth so your smile looks natural. CEREC computerized dentistry allows us to take virtual impressions to create your new custom dental crown. We control the size, shape, and color of your new crown, ensuring each CEREC restoration is a unique match for your smile.

Implant-Supported Dentures

When you lose multiple teeth, we can replace them with individual dental implants or use several dental implants in conjunction with implant-supported dentures to give you greater comfort and confidence as well as a wider range of dietary choices!
